I would like to start off this edition by sharing a little about my life journey thus far. Upon graduating from my university with a degree in Mass Communications, I ventured into Public Relations and dabbled with video production before landing my current role as Editor ofMetropolitan Home. What I enjoy the most about my current role is the never-ending opportunity to meet some of the most extraordinary individuals. From famed designers to successful businessmen, there is always something to learn from their past experiences and thoughts about the world. In this edition of Metropolitan Home, my team and I had the pleasure to speak to the Country Manager of PropertyGuru Malaysia (page 32), the General Manager of Hyatt House (page 34) as well as the Founder and Creator of The Playground Fitness (page 36). We are also proud to bring you the limited edition Egg, Swan and Drop chairs from Fritz Hansen (page 28), which have been updated to coincide with their 60th anniversary. As we are approaching the mid of 2018, several design trends have emerged from the market. One of the most prominent trends is the popularisation black and gold coloured finishes
(page 86), which can be utilised to introduce a sense of timelessness into your interior. Flip to page 52 for our INSIDE section, which features 5 interior design projects from Hungary, Taiwan, China, UAE and the UK.Wrapping things up, we took a look at the latest sensation in the historic town of Malacca – Rosa Malacca (page 104).
